Evidence read

CFTC buckets are aggregate trader classes, not individual winners. Leveraged funds are the cleanest TFF speculative-flow proxy. In commodities, managed money often behaves like crowded trend-following flow, while swap dealers, producers, and merchants remain hedging or risk-transfer context.

Source and limitations

CFTC COT is weekly aggregate reportable-trader data. It usually reflects Tuesday positioning and is released Friday afternoon ET. It does not show individual funds, live order flow, or guaranteed direction.
